Day 11: the rhythm will come

Today was my first practice after posting my first video update.  I got two comments from people.  The first one was from this dude in Argentina who said that I needed to work on rhythm and the second was a dude who started breaking a month ago and told me I should work on the foundational freezes next.  Good advice.

On day 12, I’ll start with some freezes, like the baby, turtle, chair, and hang glide.  But today I just brushed up on toprock, six-step, three-step, and a few drops.

As far as rhythm, I don’t know how that happens.  Is it just practice?  Is it just doing it without thinking?  Is it getting a better ear for the music?  Is it learning from a good teacher?

Probably a combination of all of them.  If there’s someone out there who is down to teach me and you live in Flagstaff….I’m in.  If you don’t live in Flagstaff, we can probably figure out some video thing.  Just email me or message me on Twitter.

By the way, I’m always looking to add new music to my b-boy playlist, any suggestions?

Tip of the day:
Learn from someone better than you.

Follow the experiment on Twitter. And friend me on Facebook.
