a regular dude learning how to breakdance for 100 days.
Day 3: you’d laugh at my windmill

Today was exhausting.  Last night I got about four hours of sleep because I stayed up till 5am working on a project.  Every move was harder when I practiced because my body was weak.

Regardless, I still had tons of fun dancing.  Since I could barely do a handstand, most of the time I worked on doing footwork in sync with the songs I was listening to.  Being on beat is something that cannot really be taught, it has to just work; and that comes over time.

My six-step is getting a little better each practice.  I cannot do it fast yet.  At all.  Going step by step until it’s perfected is my goal.

Oh, and I tried to start learning a windmill today.  This was laughable.  I looked like a little kid rolling around the floor on a sugar high.  I’m glad no one was watching.

Today was my shortest practice thus far (45 minutes) but I still did it.

Day 3 down, only 97 more to go.  Oh, by the way, after every 10 days of practice, I’m going to post a short video of me busting out with the moves I do know.  You can give me feedback, make a funny joke, try it yourself, but my preference is tips on how to get better.

Tip of the day: Get a full night’s rest before a day of dance practice, otherwise you won’t be able to do jack.

Follow the experiment on Twitter. And friend me on Facebook.
